Celadon Mist Bowl
Celadon Mist Bowl is a Wheel-thrown, open rounded form with trimmed foot bowls in Soft celadon green, glossy, pooling lighter at rim glaze, handmade at Mita Pottery Studio, Rakkar, Himachal Pradesh. ₹380. One of one.
Spring in Rakkar smells of wet pine and new leaves. The hillside turns a dozen shades of green in a single week. This bowl was glazed with that week in mind — that particular pale celadon that lives between grey and green and can't quite decide.
Wheel-thrown with smooth, gently flared walls, the form sits low and open. The celadon glaze is applied generously — it pools a shade lighter at the rim and deepens toward the floor, with a glossy finish that catches the swirl marks of the throwing. Fired to around cone 6, the colour has the quiet warmth that stoneware coaxes from a celadon at temperature.
