Cancellation Policy
Life happens — we get it. Here's how we handle cancellations, and what you can expect depending on how far in advance you let us know.
7+ days before
Cancel anytime up to 7 days before your session and we'll refund 100% to your original payment method within 5–7 business days.
3–6 days before
We'll issue a studio credit for the full amount, valid for 6 months — use it for any workshop, any date.
24–72 hours before
We'll issue a studio credit for half the amount, valid for 6 months. We'll try to fill your spot from our waitlist, so it's worth letting us know as early as possible.
Under 24 hours / no-show
We're unable to offer refunds or credits for very late cancellations or no-shows, as preparation for the session is already underway.
How to cancel
WhatsApp or Instagram DM us at @mitapotterystudio with your booking reference (starts with MITA-). We'll confirm your cancellation and process the refund or credit within 2 business days.
Rescheduling
Need to move your booking rather than cancel it? We're happy to reschedule once at no charge, subject to availability, if you reach out at least 48 hours in advance. Message us the same way as above.
If the studio cancels
In the unlikely event we need to cancel a session (weather, illness, or anything else beyond our control), you'll receive a full refund within 5–7 business days, plus priority rebooking for the next available date.
A note on firing & shipping
For workshops where your piece goes through the kiln (Botanical Pottery, Wheel Throwing, Make Your Own Mug), bisque firing, glazing, and glaze firing are included at no extra cost. Studio pickup is free. If you'd like your finished piece shipped, we charge a flat ₹200 per piece within India — we'll let you know when it's ready (glazing is two separate firings, so 3–6 weeks after your session).
