Wildflower Scatter Bowl

900one of one

Wildflower Scatter Bowl is a Wheel-thrown footed bowl bowls in Cream base with blue and green botanical brushwork glaze, handmade at Mita Pottery Studio, Rakkar, Himachal Pradesh. ₹900. One of one.

The Rakkar road in spring is lined with small blue flowers — the kind you almost miss unless you're walking slowly. This bowl began there. Dozens of tiny painted sprigs, each one placed by hand, scattered across the interior the way wildflowers scatter across a hillside after rain.

Thrown on the wheel and trimmed to a neat raised foot, the bowl has a smooth, slightly translucent cream glaze that lets the stoneware body show faint warmth beneath. Each small botanical motif — a few green leaves, a pair of blue buds — is brushed freehand under glaze, no two identical. The glossy clear overglaze makes the painted surface glow at stoneware temperature, around 1220°C.

“That unplanned swirl, that crooked handle — they are the story of the hour spent making it.”
