Midnight Tide Mug
Midnight Tide Mug is a Wheel-thrown with pulled handle mugs in Deep cobalt-to-teal dipped glaze with speckled unglazed foot glaze, handmade at Mita Pottery Studio, Rakkar, Himachal Pradesh. ₹650. One of one.
Some mornings the Kangra valley fills with a blue that has no name — not sky, not water, something in between. This mug was made for that hour. The kind of quiet you want to hold in both hands.
Wheel-thrown on an iron-flecked stoneware body, the walls show gentle throwing ridges beneath a high-gloss glaze that shifts from deep cobalt at the belly to a dark forest green at the rim. A clean dip line leaves the lower foot bare, its speckled natural clay a grounding contrast. Fired to around cone 6, the glaze has pooled and broken in small amber flashes where it thickened. The pulled handle sits comfortably off the side.
