Dark Sky Pinch Cup
Dark Sky Pinch Cup is a Handbuilt with loop handle mugs in Dark tenmoku-green over cobalt, gloss, with unglazed foot ring glaze, handmade at Mita Pottery Studio, Rakkar, Himachal Pradesh. ₹650. One of one.
A cup you reach for when the kiln has just cooled and the studio is still. Small enough to hold in a closed palm, rounded like a stone from a Himalayan stream. It was made for one strong coffee, or one pause in a long day.
Handbuilt by pinching, the squat walls carry the memory of thumbprints — shallow dimples pressed into the surface before glazing. A circular loop handle is attached at the side. The exterior is coated in a deep, near-black glaze that breaks to reveal flashes of cobalt and teal on the curves; the interior pools to a rich midnight blue. A thin unglazed foot band shows the pale stoneware clay beneath. Fired around cone 6.

“That unplanned swirl, that crooked handle — they are the story of the hour spent making it.”
