Wildflower Meadow Plate
Wildflower Meadow Plate is a Wheel-thrown with low upturned rim plates in Warm cream matte with multicolour botanical underglaze painting glaze, handmade at Mita Pottery Studio, Rakkar, Himachal Pradesh. ₹1,000. One of one.
Some mornings the road to Rakkar is lined with things that have no names yet — a yellow star-flower here, a dark ferny leaf there. This plate was made to hold that feeling. A meadow caught mid-bloom, before anyone thought to pick it.
Wheel-thrown on an iron-speckled stoneware body, the low-walled rim is pulled gently outward and trimmed clean. The cream base glaze fires to a warm matte at around cone 6, giving the botanical underglaze painting — dark-green leaves, blue sprig florals, and yellow daisy-like blooms — something soft to rest against. Each stem is brushed freehand; no two plates land in quite the same place.
