Wildflower Wreath Plate
Wildflower Wreath Plate is a Wheel-thrown shallow plate with gently undulating rim plates in Warm cream gloss with hand-painted dark leaf wreath, blue bell flowers, and amber vine details glaze, handmade at Mita Pottery Studio, Rakkar, Himachal Pradesh. ₹1,050. One of one.
There is a road out of Rakkar where, come July, the verges fill with small blue flowers nobody has named. This plate was made for that moment — the wreath of dark leaves and tiny bells is a way of keeping that roadside bloom close, long after the monsoon moves on.
Thrown on the wheel and left with a softly irregular rim, the shallow form is glazed in a warm cream that fires to a gentle gloss around cone 6. Over that ground, leaf sprays and a continuous vine are brush-painted in deep underglaze black; small blue bell-flowers and warm amber tendrils wind between them, every stroke placed by hand so no two loops of the wreath fall the same way twice.
